Encouragement for the Discouraged Evangelist

Reid Saunders

We've all been there—on our knees before the Lord, questioning our call as an evangelist. Have you been there? Are you there now?

Every evangelist faces seasons of discouragement—when doors seem closed, funds feel tight, or the weight of ministry becomes heavy. In those moments, remember that you are not alone. Even the great prophets felt weary, yet God renewed their strength.

The fruit of your labor may not always be visible, but it is never wasted. The seeds you plant in faith will bear fruit in God’s perfect time. Keep your eyes on Jesus, not on numbers or applause. Refresh your soul in prayer, surround yourself with accountability partners, and revisit your calling. The same God who began this work in you will sustain you. Press on—the Gospel you carry still changes lives, one heart at a time.
