Young Luis Palau accepts Christ at summer camp in his home country of Argentina and begins to dream of sharing the Good News worldwide.

At Bible College in Oregon, Luis and Pat Palau bond over their passion for overseas missions. They marry and begin their shared dream of reaching the world with the hope of Christ. In 1962, Luis becomes a U.S. citizen and serves as Spanish interpreter for Billy Graham during his evangelistic crusade in Fresno, California.

Luis Palau begins holding widescale evangelistic crusades in dozens of countries, ultimately reaching millions with the Good News. His passion to empower others to do the same grows.

The seed of what will later become the Global Network of Evangelists is planted as 70 evangelists gather at Palau's international headquarters in Portland. Originally called the Next Generation Alliance, the network’s vision was to raise up evangelists and bless them as Billy Graham had done for Luis Palau.

Palau’s ministry continues to thrive as Kevin, Andrew, and Wendy Palau assume leadership. Gospel impact and reach grow year after year as the team trusts God’s leadership in innovative new models.

NGA officially becomes the Global Network of Evangelists to broaden our reach and encourage evangelists worldwide.

On March 11, Luis Palau passes away. Throughout his life, Luis proclaimed the Gospel in more than 80 nations, sharing the Good News with more than 1 billion people through television, radio, print, and live events.
