Day in the Park Manual

Alpha Hayward

The Day in the Park (DITP) is a flexible outreach model that helps churches build relationships, share Christ’s love, and positively engage their local communities through practical connection.

The Day in the Park (DITP) model is a community-level outreach event that can easily be replicated by churches with a heart for evangelism and a desire to engage their surrounding neighborhoods. The purpose of DITP is to provide a platform for a church congregation to build relationships with the community that often sits just outside the walls of the church—unreached and waiting to be engaged.

It serves as a bridge-building opportunity, breaking down negative perceptions of the church and demonstrating the love of Christ to the neighborhood.

The DITP Event Manual outlines the mechanics developed through real-world experience. While it provides a solid framework, the structure is flexible and should be customized to meet the specific needs of your church and community.
