In a field full of children in Zambia, I witnessed hundreds respond to the Gospel—an unforgettable glimpse of God at work.
My name is Maisie Jackman, and I’m from Dallas, TX. I’m deeply thankful for the incredible opportunities and experiences I’ve had through being a part of GNE. Traveling overseas to share the Gospel in Zambia and Zimbabwe has been one of the greatest blessings of my life, getting to witness firsthand how the Lord is moving among His people all around the world.
One of my most cherished memories took place in Zambia during a children’s service on a bright Saturday morning. Hundreds of children from nearby villages gathered, lined up in rows of 100, their faces glowing with anticipation. The morning was filled with singing, dancing, laughter, and pure joy. When it came time to share the Gospel, a 10-year-old boy volunteered to help me demonstrate the message to his friends. With a translator beside me, I explained who Jesus Christ is and how they could receive Him into their hearts.
When I invited those who wanted to accept Jesus to stand, hundreds of children rose to their feet. Their hearts were so open and sincere; it was a powerful sight. Hearing their voices as they prayed for salvation and seeing the joy on their faces is a moment I will carry with me forever. Even back home in Texas, I often think of those children and pray that the Lord continues to draw near to them, meeting every need and guiding their steps.
This is just one of many incredible testimonies I’ve experienced through being part of GNE. I am continually in awe of how God works, both near and far, and I’m grateful to play even a small part in His global story of grace and redemption.
