It was a profound learning experience, as I got to witness creative evangelism methods such as clowning, DJ ministry, and music performances all different tools used to share one powerful message: Jesus saves. Truly, it was a reminder that in the Kingdom, there is one message, different expressions.
My name is Jay, and I come from Kenya, where I serve with an amazing ministry called Kubamba. Our main purpose is to reach souls through music as a tool of evangelism, and we’ve witnessed countless young people surrender their lives to Jesus.
I gave my life to Jesus four years ago, and never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that God would use me to inspire others across Kenya and even Africa. Before encountering Christ, I was lost—trapped in drugs, rebellion, and darkness. The enemy had blinded my eyes completely. I struggled deeply with identity, depression, and even attempted suicide. I was empty inside, searching for meaning in all the wrong places. But the day I experienced Jesus, everything changed. He filled the void in my heart, gave me a new identity, and my life has never been the same again.
Last year, God opened an incredible door for me through the Global Network of Evangelists (GNE) to serve in Zambia. It was there that everything began to shift. I had the privilege of meeting and interacting with evangelists from all over the world, each carrying the same heartbeat: to reach the lost. During the festivals and outreaches, we saw thousands of people give their lives to Christ.
It was a profound learning experience, as I got to witness creative evangelism methods such as clowning, DJ ministry, and music performances all different tools used to share one powerful message: Jesus saves. Truly, it was a reminder that in the Kingdom, there is one message, different expressions. Through GNE, I found a community of people who share the same vision, and that has been such a blessing.
This year, through the same GNE family, God provided a fully sponsored opportunity for me to serve in Zimbabwe and take my first-ever flight to South Africa to minister. I still stand in awe of how far God has brought me from the streets of Nairobi to the nations.
The GNE community means so much to me. It has not only transformed my life but also given me courage and confidence to continue walking in my calling as an evangelist. I look forward to even more mission opportunities with them as we continue to bring hope, joy, and the message of salvation to the world.
To God be all the glory.
